So much for sleep. I just received phone call from Rach. Her temp. is now normal -waiting for results of latest blood work. Nurse informed me that she has already started to make arrangements to return to the Mexican village. Pleading on my part to no avail. She informed me that as soon as everyone is sure she is not contagious and as soon as she is given the OK,(with some build-up of her strength, she is returning. To my pleas, she responded that this is what she does and the girl needs help ASAP. How I could have raised such a child is a mystery to me. What a kid. I told her the whole story of this ordeal and she was upset that I became angry at the actions of a few members here. She said I do not know what is or has happened in their lives to cause what their actions. "Don't judge them".
Love to all from Rach and me,--she is taking liquids.

Re: flowers.
Some of our fabulous members have asked about sending flowers. Rach requested that I ask all who wish to send flowers to instead donate the money to any organization whose work is the assistance and betterment of all humanity. She asks, if possible, if it is to a religious organization, the organization be non-denominational.
My and her love to all,

Bob,

I haven't visited here much the last few days, so I missed the news about your daughter. What a time you've had.

I'm very happy for you and your family to hear that she's on the mend.

Wow! What a WONDERFUL turnabout!

Incredible news!

Bob, give Rachel a squeeze from all of us, and tell her that she needs to rebuild her immune system before she goes anywhere. She'll be more effective and help more people in the long run (her goals) if she strengthens herself first. (That probably means a few weeks.) In the meantime, tell her to give us the name of the Mexican village, and name one or more specific organizations that are directly working in that village. She might be surprised what can happen.

Dennis

Great news, Bob!!! Best regards to Rachel and try to convince her to build up her strength first. These systemic infections are very serious. Her immune system has been traumatized and needs to be normalized. In the long run she'll be stronger than before!

Rest, receiving love from her family and friends and of course chicken soup!

Merry Christmas, Rachel and Bob!!!

Bob, that is great news. Bar Tender, Miracles all around please and thank you.

May the peace that passes ALL understanding wash over you and your family this Christmas season.

What a wonderful gift you're received in your incredible daughter Bob. You're a rich man.

Well Bob, that's just wonderful! And the best part is...it's no surprise! This is what it's all about, life...now, can you tell us if there is a specific way to sow into what Rachel is doing in Mexico? And when you're rested I'd like to send you a story via email...

Blessings to you and your family,

Larry

Wooohooooo! May her recovery be swift and whole. Sounds like you are going to need that neck afterall, I wish I had one to send. :)

I've got to find me a woman like that! Just starting to recover and already ready to get back to the battle at hand! That makes me want to get back to the field all the more.

We swing every which way when we're in a place of emotional extremes.
Every which way. Easy irritability, extreme generosity, everything. "Some
members" were also trying to help you and couldn't possibly know the
heavy weights you've had on your back, Bob. At the very least, it's decent
not to assume they're damaged goods and realize it takes two stimuli to
create any reaction. This includes a possible error on their part and
in your perception. You don't know what happened in their life to shape
their response, be it positive or negative. But you know what's happening
in your life right now that can influence the way you perceive things and
it's more than enough to make it an issue of no harm, no foul than
anyone having damaged lifes, you know?

I still strongly recommend the physical presence of a close friend. Isn't it
great that you're on the peak of emotion rather than the basement?
That's a great thing.

I've been away this afternoon and just about immediately wanted to add
to my note here as soon as I left. It's clearly hypocritical if you read it
with a critical eye, but a more honest eye will hopefully know that seeing
our erros is something we all want to grow into. Writing it was a
reminder to myself of where I fall short and assume the error is on the
other, and where I'd like to be.

Outstanding!
Her immune system has been traumatized and needs to be normalized.
Let me double up on that from personal experience! She really needs to rest up and for quite a while, maybe years. She can get another infection very easily! Just because the antibiotics have limited the infection doesn't mean it is completely gone. This may dog her for quite some time.

For those that prayed, don't forget thanks also!

Thank you for all prayers and hopes. I will pass on the info on the amount of info e: rebuilding of the immune system and hope the doctors will reinforce your claims-sounds right on to me. The problems will be Rach whom has always placed her needs below those of others.
I wish again to thank everyone for the generous thoughts and prayers for Rach throughout this ordeal. She is scheduled to return home (ex-wife's Home) Christmas Eve. I suggested to her that perhaps I would be able to baby her more.....mmmm perhaps that's why she is going to stay with mom.
To all of you. May you enjoy the greatest Holidays ever this year for you and yours.
Rach's love and best wishes to all.

Bob, sorry I have been away these past few days.

I wish Rachel a continued recovery and hope she heeds the advice of Billy and JJ before returning to Mexico.

To you a very Merry Christmas and hope you now get the rest you need as I can appreciate how all consuming and draining your daughter's illness has been on you.

In peace and love,

Anthony

P.S. Let's build some guitars in the New Year!

Well Bob, I reckon this has worked out very well and I am pleased for you and Rach. Now you can build that guitar and know it will be the lasting symbol of your love for her that you intended it to be.

Cheers

Kim
